I’m in full agreement with you. Geographically speaking, NJ is the best thing for my family and I.

For my wife and kids, the 7/7 is very stable for them. And to me, 7 days flys by. When I talk with friends about their ACMI 16 day schedule, they rave about it. To me, 16 is way too long. And for others, 7 is way to long to be away…. Interesting dynamics for everyone in the industry.

7 days on is a long time, but totally agree about ACMI, that is absolutely unreasonable. 7/7 is a pretty sweet schedule overall.

Never said everyone commutes at an airline and that it is hell on earth. My thing is you say you are not trying to sell anyone on airlines but you continually come into the forum of a previous employer and talk negatively about a company that many find satisfactory and that meets their needs.

Every NJA pilot may ***** about anything and everything company, but I’ve never seen one continuously rant about a previous employer. We’ve all moved on. Except for you that is.

I don't bash NJA, but I will argue against those who create hypotheticals to make the airlines look terrible, and NJA look like an oasis. There are negatives at all companies and I could legit care less if anyone leaves for the airlines. There are tons of threads comparing NJA to the airlines, or if they should leave or not. Offering a perspective from somebody that left and is happy with the decision, is a completely valid thing to have in the threads here. You can absolutely find NJA to meet your needs, that is fantastic, but there are also many that don't find that it meets their needs so in all actuality, why are you commenting in a thread where the premise is people leaving unless things improve? You aren't leaving and you seem to be happy enough, so why join a thread about leaving?

Stop making blanket statements. Of course EVERY single person here doesn’t find it satisfactory. People leave jobs. Guarantee all people at your current job don’t find it satisfactory also.

As someone who is starting at Netjets on the 24th of October, I found this forum very interesting to read, and also a little amusing. Overall, I am still really excited to go from a humble flight instructor to flying something a little nicer. I am also glad that either former or current NetJets pilots are trying to gather momentum for another round of contract negotiations looking for a raise, the regionals have matched NetJets in first year pay now, so interesting to see If NetJets responds.

Welcome. Glad to have you. Hopefully if you talked to someone before coming here they were honest with earning potential. Budget for salary and the rest is gravy.
