NetJets in Trouble?
#11
Who's kidding whom? The biz jet market took a huge hit in this recession and, yes, after congress went after the "big 3" for flying in to ask for money in their jets. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! What were those congressional morons thinking?
There's a whole ton of biz jets laid up for sale, and prices are not going up.
It is not a pretty picture and do not let anyone tell you different. I don't see it turning around in the next few months either.
I have a friend who is an instructor for Flight Safety in Falcons, and his training work is off by about 40%. He also flies Falcons for private owners (part 91) and while he used to fly a few times a month just a year ago he has not flown the real thing for a few months now! He used to make more than the majority of major, heavy jet airline pilots, but now he is hurting big time.

Ha, an EXPERT........Nobody is kidding anybody, nobody is painting " a rosy picture" nobody is saying corporate aviation is kicking ass and nobody is trying to tell you different....... Read the posts carefully, the guys are talking about what a great company NJA is and how we're coping better than some... We're struggling, just like everyone else, nobody is saying otherwise.......
Go talk to Oprah man!!! At least she is out there fighting for part91 by telling people to fly their corporate jets again if they can afford it, and stop making the doom sayers force you into selling or parking your planes! It's not popular to fly Part 91 right now, but you know what Obama flew the wife to NYC today on an air force GV (he downsized to attract less attention), then a helicopter for a dinner date in the city. When people start acting normal again all this doom and gloom will go away; but it starts with all of us first as individuals. You're a professional man, act like it!
