NetJets in Trouble?
A buddy of mine who is a relatively junior at NetJets told me their CEO gave a pretty bad report yesterday and things weren't looking good? Anybody have any more specifics? Hate to hear about more good paying pilot jobs getting the axe on top of all the 121 airline furloughs out there

Who knows?
First off I don't wish lay offs or furloughs on anyone and there's a bunch of jealous and disgruntled clowns on these forums who get their kicks on the seeing the demise of NJA.
The reality of the situations is time will tell. For a company like NJA to have lay offs would be extremely damaging to their image with current and future clients.
From my friends at NJA I've heard the first step will be voluntary leave with certain benefits. But like I said before this actually happens, its all speculation on APC and FI forums.
Sad to say, everyone is vulnerable. Let's hope the best for our peers at NJA. Lay offs at NJA will not be good for any of us.

Every airline pilot AND management group would do well to learn from this proposal:

Almost every company out there that flies airplanes is either overstaffed or was until they furloughed in these times. NJA is overstaffed as well. Management has been trying to wait it out, but evidently they no longer believe that the wait will be short any more so they are trying to reduce staff in the nicest way possible before anything harsher needs to be considered. They have now said they will do what they have to do which is to get smaller one way or another. Hopefully it will all be voluntary and hopefully things will turn around sooner rather than later. At least the company has been willing to bleed for a while and are now trying to play nice in the downsizing. Good luck everyone.

Big Blue came out with the same type of program awhile back and I know quite a few guys took the LOA, buyout, and part-time lines. I'm just glad there are still a few companies around like NJA & JetBlue...lets keep our fingers crossed that we've seen the bottom.

Correct....... The KY derby, superbowl and main Golf events seem to be Santulli's favorites, and understandbly so............. I'm sure advertising on something like NASCAR would be out of the question..........

Who's kidding whom? The biz jet market took a huge hit in this recession and, yes, after congress went after the "big 3" for flying in to ask for money in their jets. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! What were those congressional morons thinking?
There's a whole ton of biz jets laid up for sale, and prices are not going up.
It is not a pretty picture and do not let anyone tell you different. I don't see it turning around in the next few months either.
I have a friend who is an instructor for Flight Safety in Falcons, and his training work is off by about 40%. He also flies Falcons for private owners (part 91) and while he used to fly a few times a month just a year ago he has not flown the real thing for a few months now! He used to make more than the majority of major, heavy jet airline pilots, but now he is hurting big time.
