What he said....My projected block for the year is 610 block hours. At year 8 pay I will clear 130k as 320 F/O. Bid 3 weeks of VAC and have not flown more than 10 days per month this year. I commute and do so with a smile on my face (well maybe just on the way home) because the QOL for myself and my family is amazing which was one of the OPs original issues.

I was a NJA '08 hire, five year furlough, and then returned for NJA 2.0. I saw the old and the new and left as soon as possible for Spirit. I grew to absolutely hate the job at NetJets and once here at Spirit I couldn't believe how little guys have to work to make so much. I'm loving aviation again, have a ton of time at home, and flying an airplane that I really like versus the XLS that I was trapped in. I don't mean to be insulting, but guys at NJA just don't know how bad they have it and how much better it is outside of the Bridgeway world. The first year pay is tough but my only regret is not getting out of 91K/135 sooner. I think too many NJA guys think that their previous regional is what the legacy/ULCC's are like and are too comfortable making a buck twenty five a year. I have no reservations about leaving and couldn't dream of going back to an outfit like NetJets ever again in my life.
