Default Recent Ravn Alaska info?

Is there anyone here who currently flies for Ravn? Particularly as an FO. How many hours a month do you fly, and what are the safety policies like? Have things changed much with the new CEO? I saw there was a thread already on Ravn, but that one is pretty old, and current info would be appreciated.

Thumbs down RAVN layoffs

130 of 350 employees laid off. Very few captains remaining. I was told by an insider only 5 operating Dash-8-100 only. Their Dash-8-300 is grounded because of over-temped engines destroyed by a previous captain. No info on the "Ravn Connect" Beech 1900(s) that may or may not be operating. Parent company Northern Pacific Airways is now called New Pacific Airways. They bled off lots of cash in hopes of ETOPS routes from SE Asia, but now their 2 B757-200s only schedule service ONT to RNO and BNA, and charter. The Director of Operations for Ravn opened 2/23/2024. Several potential FO's told me their February 2024 classes were canceled, and quite a few FO's were laid off as well.

Long story short. Ravn is maybe possibly only seeking Dash-8-100 captains, if anyone. Looks like they (NPA) hired at least two people from outside the company to their B757s which did NOT thrill anyone at Ravn who was expecting upgrade to the B757.

Anyone else have more precise intel than this? (news video incorrectly shows C208 from the previously bankrupt Ravn Alaska)

As of today the only posted job position for RAVN is Director of Operations. Recent layoffs include pilot furloughs, with ALPA negotiations ongoing according to this article: https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/aviation/2024/02/26/ravn-alaska-lays-off-nearly-a-third-of-its-staff/

Oh man, this is sad. I flew for Era in the earlier 2000s and it was an awesome company. Real bummer to see where it has gone.

Down to only serving eight cities and not even going to Kenia since October. Pretty sad.
