Love it when it rains in the cockpit! You could always tell who the Saab drivers were in the terminal, they were the ones that looked beat to hell by the end of the day after 7 legs.

If its really hot is best to have the reciec fans off! Less air but cooler air that way, but of course if the cool air is in the cabin not upfront, then steal some of the cooler air

Day trips. You will do the same thing. Over. and over. and over again. Day after day.

I doubled HPd every summer in IAH, as did most Captains.

You can double hp and taxi all day long, just be aware of your ITT when pushing up those power levers.

-slow long taxi=good time to double HP, ITT will hold low 700s with power lever movement.

-complete stop, holding short of a runway and you just received "without delay, cross XXXX" from ATC= bad time to have that HP in.

Plus when you taxi with the double HP, you have both engines in BG which is better than just having one stalling there in ST/FX.

The people who created this rule at Colgan are the same people who never rode on a Saab in the summer and would punish a pilot if they refused to fly a plane that was too hot.

BIL looks like all two and three day trips w/ overnites in gdv, hvr, ggw and olf. All appear to be commutable avg about 90 hr cred. mostly 4-6 legs, there are a couple of 7/8 leggers out there. Someone out west could chime in...
