I can't imagine flying with an iPad while in the B1900D... Seems like it'd be a PITA without some sort of iPad holder mounted in the plane... Can't speak for the SF340, but can't imagine it'd be much different...

It's much wider in the Saab. When I was on the 1900 up North I was able to keep all the approach plates in sleeves and put a binder ring around it rather than have a jepp binder. You'll use maybe 20 plates up there top. An iPad would be more work than its worth in that sense and on that plane. Saab has more room to mount it or place it without getting in the way.
