RAH had a class of 16 lined up for the Q400, a couple months ago, and 0 of 16 showed!!! <SHOCK> . Class of 4 started today at Silver for the Saab. Some guys have prior Saab experience, too.

Cant be CAs...too many senior FOs to step over. Now that they supposedly have the upgrade program approved, no point in more DECs. Seniority list sent out last week has them listed as "New Hire" DOH 7/15/13, FO Saab.

Com'on man, as long as regionals with jets are hiring and pay more the sjs crowd will follow... We have hear many around here say why should I fly a t-prop when I have ATP mins.

I asked myself the same thing still took a class at another regional to fly the Q. Have no regrets so far and can't wait to start.

Maybe Republic will dump all of their Q400 flying so they can properly staff the new E-jets for United. Silver would be the next United Express Q400 operator.

RAH has no intentions on getting rid of the Q. United came to THEM and asked them to operate the Q. And the Q isnt covered under mainline scope so its possibilities for expansion are limitless.

New united contract closed that loophole.
