You're kidding right? Please tell me you don't think this way. Your post seems a bit opportunistic.

Ya thank you for saying so. Silver people read this shyit and we know this. Message to anyone listening that is concerned about employee retention. Make one person. Anyone. New hire or someone junior to me a captain without offering me the job first and I will quit the next day. Things have changed here. The pilots are the valuable commodity. The only reason FO's work for the second worst paying regional in the country is the expected fast upgrade. I could get off of food stamps flying an RJ awfully quick with the demand out there right now if they mess up potential CA time. And to think people called me the silver cheer leader. I beg you silver show us something good and do it fast or this place is gonna crumble. I am starting to regret passing up an fo job on a 150 seat airplane for twice the money I make now.

Just like how the most junior guy is in transition right now while guys from our class are still waiting for a date. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.
Stuff like this shouldn't be happening. Why is our is our union, or lack there of, allowing this? |

In the battle between Silver Airways Regional Airline of the Year napkins and pilot compensation I think the napkins will always win. I'm curious to hear how much the FA's will get now. I'm hoping it doesn't equal or exceed FO pay!

What? You're not satisfied with being a DEC but you want to fly FO also? Why not let the ATP qualified FOs that want to get JM'd get JM'd or the RSV's fly a little? FO's get crap money to begin with and JM pay wouldn't hurt either...Don't you think that's better?

Just bump up the pay a little? What a couple bucks extra each year and then you'll stay? A dollar an hr averages out to about a thousand extra a yr so for about $80 bucks extra a month you'll live like a rock star? You fly a 34 seat plane it will never pay what an RJ does its just the way of the industry. So you have 2 options stay for the upgrade like all of us intended or you can chase the money somewhere else. You won't get both so take your pick either way both options are good they just depend on what you want out of life and what you think is beneficial in this career.

Just bump up the pay a reasonable amount for both. The biggest reasons for FA attrition is pay and jumpseating.
I volunteered for JM. Bills need to be paid, and I need the flight time, so I can't lose. |

One of the bases has almost 200 hours of open time next month! Hopefully they'll send me out there. Could use the per diem and hotel points
