Do the people in the ATL system have any flight benefits?

This is off-topic, but I'm just curious....

Is Silver having any trouble hiring pilots with the 1500 hour rule? It looks like on the Silver APC page that Silver is hiring into the Saab, though I couldn't actually find a job posting when I pulled up the Silver Airways website. Also, does Silver lose many pilots to other regionals?

On the Silver APC page, I didn't see a reference to a new hire contract. I'm assuming that one still exists? Sorry, I don't want to read 309 pages of posts to find the answer. :D And one more thing, I noticed on the APC Silver page that the most junior captains were hired January 2012 (1900) and April 2012 (Saab), but it also specifically says that "direct entry captains [are] excluded." Does Silver hire many street captains??

Silver Airways

The answers to your questions are: probably, not yet but most likely will, no, and yes, they have in the past but probably won't any time soon, respectively.

Isn't every regional having issues hiring w/1500hrs? Silver is hiring for the Beech 1900, and I don't know about the Saab. Beech for sure though as they're looking for an August class. Lose pilots to regionals? No idea... I don't see why they would. 2nd best contract in the whole regional industry. Silver OVERhired street captains on the Saab side, that's a fact. My best advice... Stop reading APC. :-)

Love your username. :-) . Why wouldn't they have benefits?

Well I wasn't sure how that was working with the interline thing or are the benefits just on UAL? And I know it's a touchy subject but is there any chance they will hire street captains again? I can't afford entry level pay and I don't want to burn through my savings waiting for an upgrade. If I knew for sure they had some more growth coming I might be tempted to take the plunge but for now I'm still watching from the sidelines.

And yes I'm one of the many Camp Hulas alumni here.

Sometimes I feel like Sheldon Cooper. Was that sarcasm? No. Was THAT sarcasm?

No, it wasn't. We get a 2:1 duty rig, cancellation pay, "good boy" pay from UAL on the Cleveland routes, etc... Do I dare list more positives? Sure, we don't have the HIGHEST PAY for a regional airline, but so what? It's not the lowest. We have 75hr guarantee, and a lot of reserve guys that I've talked to on the B1900 fly closer to 90hrs, by choice. A few guys this past month have flown 102+hrs. That right there is more than most regionals.
