How does it look for hiring with Silver lately? I'm sitting at around 1100 TT/100 ME, finishing up my A&P, ex military and have a college degree.

My recommendation: Get your ATP mins and go to a different regional.
How come? Just curious. I'm actually quite happy where I live in FL and they have a few bases within an easy driving distance. I'm thinking more on the line of comfortable flying on routes I've done a dozen times outside of the airlines. |

how long would the upgrade time be at silver do you think in the coming year? how often do you folks have to move around or switch bases? I have an offer for a 135 gig but the hours are less and it requires a huge move for my family. I would like to stay East of the Mississippi if I can and fly my bottom off.

There's nothing wrong with coming to 3M. We are experienceing some growing pains etc., however outside of that 3M isn't a bad place. Other regionals have just as many or more issues than we do. I would definitely recommend tossing a resume in. Sounds like 3M could provide you with a descent QoL.
Went ahead and dropped my resume in. The application asked if I had 1200 TT or not. Worth a shot. I'm currently flying 135 PIC (VFR), so hopefully that'll put some weight in. It is good to see them trying to change their ways and reinvent themselves. AirTran did a pretty good job after the ValuJet incident. |

Would anyone be willing to pm me a bid package from one of the FL bases? I would like see what the trips look like. I don't think bid packages are considered confidential. I know they're not at my current airline.
