Im sure he loses sleep because you left.

I hope your as vocal about Horizons Management when you have that loving drum circle session with them... Lmao

Making a career decision because you dont like the CP isnt the best way to go about things.... He could be gone tomorrow and you left for what?
To the original question... Weigh the positives and negatives. If there are more negatives FOR YOUR SITUATION then leave... But make your own decision and don't leave because other people say you should...

Everyone thats here was grateful for the call... Seems to be a lot of "what have you done for me lately" going around...

I'm not going to sit here and explain in detail what has happened to me or the many others but you're pretty ignorant to what goes on all around you. I'm glad that you enjoy Silver enough to stay though, by staying put for that elusive upgrade you enable this place to continue what they do best and that's take advantage of their employees from station agents up to management. A lot of people came for the quick upgrade or chance at 121 I know I did, but this was not the same airline I was hired at. It's not just the shine of 121 wearing off either after continual beat downs I said enough is enough I'm not going to stay here for this supposed magical PIC I'll need to move on. My philosophy is this... If it's meant to be it'll be if I get to a Major great!!! In the mean time though I'm going to respect my self worth and not allow myself to be treated like a grade school-er for a measly 2K a month paycheck with 7-10 days at home. Like I've said all along if you're ok with mediocrity GREAT!!! Every person has their own ideas on what works best for themselves. Like I said I've spoke with multiple people up the chain of command to right wrongs as I and others saw them and I was on the scheduling committee for our base as well remember that was all volunteer and I had no qualms about it either. Only changes I saw were for the way worse. I call an ace an ace and a spade a spade only good thing about this airline now is the coworkers I've befriended. I'd bend over backwards to help any of our pilots out because we've all been pulled through the mire together even you buddy.

How long do you think it will be before the luster wears off at your new company? Will it last longer than the love fest at Silver?
You are awfully critical of Silver when you praised them so highly not so long ago for having enough faith in you to give you that chance you so desired. Seems your attitudes shift pretty quickly.

It is good you 'talked with your feet'.
More should do that. I hope this time around that you listen a little more closely to some of those that have gone before you.

As for some of the other comments:
- How do you know CPs at other airlines won't fire you for the same things that you allege the CP at Silver fired people for?
- Is he really the one in control of your job? I'm seriously asking this because I would think that there would be quite a few others who would have a say in a termination (your union for one).
- I'm not sure if you have ever posted about your run-in with the CP, but are you sure that you wouldn't get the same results if you brought up a similar problem at your new airline?

I don't need to post details because it really is that bad and enough on here know the hell I was put through. It would not happen at another airline because it's a major lawsuit and if it did it would be corrected very quickly. I have one man to thank for my continued employment at Silver and he's no longer there. He was as sincere as could be and his handshake on a deal meant something unlike my incident. Real men keep to their word they agree on and shake on it. As for luster of a new place I have none. It's the same job description as the previous one I had. I go to work and get paid the only difference between the old and new is the size of the paycheck and benefits I don't care about what kind of plane it is. My excitement is getting to move somewhere I've always wanted to go if the luster of that wears off then I come right back to home and commute.

Not going to put any more out there until Cruz does but thats just from me.

That being said...this place isn't ALL bad. It's a diamond in the rough just looking for a way to shine!

(I swear I'm not drinking the kool-aid, just trying to counter all the doom & gloom of late)

Agree...IDK of another company I have worked for where a situation like Cruz's would have been handled in the manner our CP handled it.

Not ALL bad but diamond in the rough?

Everyone's "career job" has an application process that includes checking boxes. Check these boxes as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest QoL possible in the process. This "diamond in the rough" is a boxing checking service. If the boxes are not being checked and/or you can go somewhere else and check box(s) faster or multiple ones at one time (i.e. DEC's ... TPIC, TT, PIC Type), then it may be time to move on...

Hey there. Sorry to barge into the conversation. I have a question for any Silver Pilots. I am going to be commuting from the Bahamas. We (United) just became code share instead of partner. Hence, I can't list for a seat. Do you all accept United jumpseaters in the back from the Bahamas to FLL? Thanks for any help in advance. BTW, I've had great service from you all in the past. Keep up the great work.
