Breakup Value??

Hmmm, In this economy....

I wonder if, Victory Park Capital, The parent holding company of this Operation, is considering selling off the assets of Silver, or per chance considering, 'Silver's Breakup Value'..

I wonder...

Cause, If they did, A lot of great people would be out of work, and it would be primarily because of a small handful of a few self serving individuals.. whom are mismanaging Silver into financial insolvency....

Dont worry, they'll just hire a new "VP of something" for that... Every week I feel like there's a new Vice President of some department. Guess that's their solution to everything...

What assets does Silver actually own? Most airlines lease their airplanes. There is really nothing to break up. The fact Silver is owned by an investment company is evidence of their intention to add a little value for the sole purpose of selling the company to a different owner at some point in the future. Whether that happens or not is simply based on numbers plugged into a spreadsheet. Right now the investment company is satisfied with profit from cash flows, but if they determine it cannot be sold, they will cease ops.

Silver Airways

I came to Silver knowing one of two things would happen: Downgrade or furlough. The downgrade is a mathematical certainty and the way things are trending, I expect the furlough to follow in short order.

I had high hopes for this place… and some days I still do. There have been some noticeable improvements already (hub-basing, better quality hotels, hiring bonuses) but it seems to be a day late and a dollar short. Here's to hoping for continued improvements and success in the new year.

I wouldn't say that Silver is currently being mismanaged by those currently in charge. I would say that those currently in charge are too busy putting out fires created by prior mismanagement that they can't fully focus on doing their jobs as best they can.

It takes a lot to get past previous mismanagement of a company.

I had high hopes too... and go to work each trip hoping for something better than the last trip.

But.......

Every time it takes an hour to get an answer in scheduling...
Every time it takes 15 minutes to get dispatch to answer...
Every time it takes a hour for a simple MEL to be done...
Every time...

well this could take forever...

I try. I really do try.

But there is only so much BS one can take.

Agreed. The frustration factor is at an all-time high right now.
