4. Is their upgrade only seniority based, or are there additional criteria?

Thanks to any present Silver pilots who can answer these questions!
1. Hub basing i.e. IAD,TPA,MCO,& FLL
2. Day trips only in Florida. Florida also has a 2 day trips I believe only out of MCO. IAD is 2,3,4 day trips.
3. About 18 months.
4. As long as you've 1000hrs SIC in 121, or 1,000hrs PIC in 135 or 91K and its seniority based. Good thing is that all new hires & upgrades come to IAD first so in the last class there were some that bypassed upgrade. Hope this helps!

I was hearing that there is a training contract of 1 year if they pay for your CTP class. If this is accurate, is it in writing and is there a promissory note involved for how much?

nkm06, I'm unsure about what you mean by "...in the last class there were some that bypassed upgrade." Sorry, but thanks for a clarification.

There is a promissory note for a year if they pay for your CTP. I think the value is somewhere around $6,000 and it'll decrease on a month by month basis or something similar.

In the last class of upgrades there were some first officers that bypassed upgrade because all the upgrades are going to based in Dulles. Florida is full on captains for right now.

Also new hires are being sent to Dulles which is where we're short and can bid down back to Florida which can take 3-6 months depending on how many new hires we keep getting.

If I may ask, for the current Silver pilots that are there currently. What do you forsee for the future of Silver?

And is FO pay livable?

Look at the numbers and decided according to your way of life and cost of life if its livable for yourself. It's an individual matter, depends what sacrifice you and yours can make.

My prayers are with Richard G., your ExCo Chairman and his family. Can any of you point me to the link for helping Richard and his family?
