Thanks I appreciate that advice. Even if they go out of business before Christmas, better to have one month of 121 experience than none right...

All of our bases are junior on the first officer side. With that said don't expect a Florida base out of training. We're severely short in the IAD base because the pilots we get are mostly from Florida or southeast US & don't want to fly in the north during winter months. So expect to spend atleast 4-6 months in IAD before you'll be able to move to Florida base if you want to. Sometimes base transfer can be faster it all depends on how many new hires are behind you.

With the new day trips in all Florida base expect to fly 10-30 hours on reserve. Currently reserve is 6-12 months. Again all this can change & is based on attrition & how many new hires we get.

There are currently 10 line holding FO's in MCO. The number 10 guy has been here for one year and four months. This stuff all changes from month to month of course. Most months there are more hard lines than that.

The most junior line holder in FLL is also one year and four months. TPA is at ten months.

No, because you wasted all your time learning. Now you have to brain dump and learn a new airline.

Thanks for the information, How long is the training at Silver Airways? Any rumors for Saab 2000 next year? It's weird if they are hurting for pilots to have such a long reserve time in Florida.

What's the reserve time in IAD?
I'm heading to training in FLL for the November class and I'm curious because I live in DC at the moment and would like to base out of IAD.

Also, any info you guys may give me about IAD will be tremendous. Thanks in advance.

It looks like right now all of the IAD FO's are line holders.
