I did the EAP and it worked out really well. I believe we’re still offering it.

It does not look like they are accepting applications for the EAP at this time. I applied a year ago did not hear anything trying to re apply.

1) Phone interview with a Silver Airways recruiter; this is basically an initial screening to see if you meet the minimum qualifications; certificates, flight hours, 1st class medical, FCC license, passport, etc. The recruiter may ask a few questions similar to: Why do you want to work at Silver? What do like about flying? What don't you like about flying?

2) Online test: you will be emailed a link to an online test consisting of 40 questions with a time limit of 45 minutes. The questions are on Jepp charts, IFR regs, airspace, holding procedures, speeds limits, METAR/TAF. Straight forward questions no gotchas.

3) Interview in KFLL or Skype Interview: usually with the Chief Pilot and a recruiter and possibly HR. Verify qualifications. Questions similar to: Why do you want to work for Silver? What do you expect from your employer? What does professionalism/leadership mean to you? TMAAT: How did you handle a conflict with CA/FO? Describe a difficult situation while flying and how did you handle it? How did you handle a disagreement with a coworker? Describe a time you went above and beyond for a passenger.

You will usually receive a response from the company about a week after the interview.

Thank you Jonny Skyhawk. This is spot on 100% good info for anyone looking to interview at Silver. I will add, they may ask about your 3 strenghts and 3 weakness. Very relaxed and easy process.

A friend of mine asked where he should begin his airline career. He just now got enough time to get his ATP.

The Silver route structure looks like it would be a fun place to work. I suggested he check into it.

Is Silver a fun place? Yah, I noticed the pay (or lack thereof), but is it fun?

Yes.

There have been Silver crew members who commuted between PNS and MCO. And, I have also seen crew members from American, Spirit, Frontier, Jet Blue and Delta commute between PNS and either FLL or MCO on our flights.
