Silver Airways
#6691
As of right now, all new hires will be training on the ATR -500 Based at FWA flying cargo.. Silver Airways specific ground and systems would be in FLL and Sims are Miami and Houston. The other bases, TPA and FLL are full at this time and for the next year or so i would suspect. The bidding system is Navblue and the new contrct went into effect recently so pay has increased and the reserve call out time has increased to two hours from 1.5.

Has anyone heard from Silver? I saw that they are flying cargo out of Dallas, can someone bring in some light on what is going on over there in terms of hiring or movement. I put in an app just about a month ago and not a peep. I have apps with a few others and even a CJO with OO, but still interested in Silver. Thanks

for those flying the cargo route:
1. what time is the departure?
2. Do you go home every morning / night?
3. Is it straight flying for 4 or 5 days then youg get a day off?
4. How long till captain upgrade in the cargo/-500 side of ops?
much appreciated folks!

I applied 7 months ago and nothing, I just applied for a Saab 340 ad on their job center in Puerto Rico and they contacted me within a day, or maybe they finally called because I hit 1400hrs. Who knows. Just be ready to not hear from them for a while. Good luck.
