Aetna, Humana, heck maybe Cobra?..... It will be cheaper than $1000 a month if you're young healthy and don't have any pre-existing conditions.

My insurance rates have been going up steadily since I was hired 20+ years ago. I'm in the $270/mo range for my wife and me. $90 to $300 seems about normal these days. Not good, but normal.

Not much else you can do besides go without or having a significant other with better benefits.

It's way too much of a gamble to not have have insurance.

Ran the numbers from Aetna for a young single guy it ranged between $50-$200
Married it was between $100-$400 depending on what plans you want. |
