Which company do you work for? Sorry, I'm not trying to probe.... just trying to get an accurate picture of what things are like... This leaves me wondering what it would cost to have my wife on my insurance instead of her own...

No worries. Eagle.

Probably time to try to dig out the whole story. One guys says 1K. Another says 90 to 300.

I have the pamphlet, I'll scan it when i get back. The Basic (most comprehensive plan) is $1000. The other two are 500 and 300 and have insane out of pocket amounts.

I'm so glad that fabulous healthcare bill saved us all from high premiums. Note the sarcasm, and save the political debate, just sayin' prices are still high and getting higher. And, go......

It has much more to do with whether or not your company is screwing you...

Not much else you can do besides go without or having a significant other with better benefits.

Last time I checked Gulfstream "Silver" Airways wasn't the only airline. Perhaps apply at places that begin to pay a livable wage. 30K as a captain?

True you could go elsewhere but many come for the quick upgrade and the contract here is pretty damn good. I don't know any captain's that only make $30k. You can't just look at the hourly pay and say o $30/hr for a captain what a joke. There is incentive pay in the FL and NE system that allow for many folks to make a nice little add on to their monthly pay. Besides I already had insurance before I came so I cant complain that they are good or bad if I don't use them. Everyone's personal situation and reason for coming here is different.
