What is going to happen to the 1900s that the Saabs are gonna replace in FL?
How many more pilots total do they expect to hire?
In what bases is there the most need for street captains?

1900s will try to be sold. If they cant be sold, the better a/c will we swapped out with some of the older ones up north.2 of the 1900s from FL have already beed sold I believe

Not sure, but they need 11 pilots for every Saab. With 12 on property at the end of the year, thats 132 pilots for the Saab alone in Florida. If up North expands like they plan on, I can seeing the total pilot group reaching 300 by the end of the year (I think we are currently at 200)

Doesnt really matter where they "need" captains. Newer street captains will go to the junior bases, while the more senior captains at these junior bases will be pulled where needed. Most likely example: Need captains in FLL, send DEC to Billings. Bring senior guy from Billings to FLL

I don't know it looks as if a few DEC's may get FLL

No they are going to keep a few for the low pax count trips in FL but most will be sold we may have only a hand full or less in FLL by the time it all shakes out

What the latest on the rumors of them getting the United Saab flying? I know they already applied for a route out of IAD.

New-hires now could expect what at year end? FL 1900 or Saab somewhere else? Any guesses?

I hope they don't get rid of all the 1900's.

I don't see how they could. The northern flying barely supports a 1900. I was looking at loads in the NE out of Cleveland. Most flights have 2-5 people on them. But I guess it doesn't matter with it being EAS.

Then again the load factors in FL right now aren't too impressive themselves even with the smaller 1900. I hope it gets big enough though asap to pack those Saabs.
