He could do a season of survey work and be there at 1500. Which may be a year? If he can pick up a summer season he could have it before Christmas.

He can get ATP mins in 8 months instructing at a pilot mill. That's a hell of a lot of seniority to pass up.

I say instruct or go do survey work for a season then follow that up with a instructor job. Quicker to gain hours and some instructor jobs actually better than Air Choice One if you bust your butt.

I have job offers from both companies and up in the air who to choose. I also have a wife and 2 little girls which plays a part of my decision. If I were to choose Air Choice One we would probably move to Houston to live at my wife's parents house for support and help with kids and I would commute to STL. Anyone know how the schedule generally is at Air Choice One? I was told 3 on with 3 off or 4 on with 3 off....was curious how accurate that was? Goal in the end is to go to regionals. OR I can just continue instructing which I do like doing. I'm currently sitting at 785hrs and was just looking for another way to get hours and part135 experience to the transition to 121 world wouldn't be as difficult as maybe it would be from being a CFI.
Yes, these gigs do have training contracts that you will have to pay off to get out early.
The Google and Apple photo gigs have a week off every month or so. That would be your quickest way to build hours. However, they are day vfr, flown on ifr rules, so there is no weather flying, no chest hair growing, no big boy flying. They are crew environment, though, so you do get the crm training with call outs etc.
Do yourself a favor, don’t try to shortcut your experience building. Take your time and get good experience along the way, it will serve you well in future! You’ve got your entire career in front of you!! PS, don’t listen to the lost wages, need your seniority argument, that is something recruiters dreamed up and people endlessly repeat it. What is true, is that you need to be the best aviator possible, not the fastest to get somewhere.
