Saint Barth. During the high season (colder months in the US/Europe) they run a TON of scheduled 135 per day in addition to a good handful of charters. Virgin Gorda shuttles are also going to be a thing next season so that's cool. The rest of the charters are a healthy mix of D.R, US/BVIs, and Turks.

The Tradewind TFFJ convoy during peak months is something pretty incredible. Some days there are 5 flights departing at the same time.
Sometimes I miss those TJ100-107 days!

Default Hours/Month?

I was wondering if anyone could give insight into how many hours can an average captain expect to block every month?

I know you can volunteer for extra days for more hours where you get $$ but I am assuming extra days must be in high demand because of the incentive and not very easy to get. If you are wiling to hustle, what is a higher side for hours/month that you can get?

Where do Tradewind pilots usually live on SIC pay? Is there a way to secure roommates or housing prior to training?

Thanks for the help!

Already have home and family (wife and kids) right near SJU in Rio Piedras. Really love the idea of flying the Caribbean for a living. Would this job only make sense for someone in my situation if I intended to stay for a few years, maybe beyond contract? Currently at 500TT working on instructor ratings.

Default Upgrade time?

Can anyone give insight into how long it takes to upgrade at Tradewind if you already meet 135 PIC mins? I don’t really see a DEC position so I am guessing they want you to fly as a SIC for some time before they let you upgrade

Default Time to Interview?

How long did it take for Tradewind to schedule your second interview after your first? Thanks.

Applied in November, heard back in December, interviewed in January, received offer in Feb. I'm sure holidays were a factor in timing, between Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.

Everyone I've spoken with has been super professional, friendly, and the people I've met seem to enjoy their job.
