I don't remember, but I was given tons of dung because I flew of another cargo company where we flew wearing jeans and T shirts. JH came in to our new hire GS wearing his freshly pressed uniform. He proceeded to bag on my former company and those "rock and roll t shirt wearing cowboy pilots".

I never flew the 99 but I miss the "emergency equipment" slides with the dejected look on JH's face when his "Mae West" doesn't inflate.

Buddy was just turned down via email with a ME ATP, 3000TT, most of that was previous 135 time in AK, about 500 IFR PIC in a 208, but only 20 ME. Didn't even get an interview. Yes the multi time is pretty low but I don't understand how a guy with previous single pilot IFR experience doesn't even get a shot at a sim check. Is AMF really still in a position to be so strict on their 50 hr ME min??

They wanted 100 when I interviewed. Come on, you can't expect somebody with 20 hours ME to be thrown to the wolves in the dead of winter....

So the collard shirt wearing MEI who just hit 1200TT 50 ME teaching foreign students in 152's and Seminoles is more prepared for the winter wolves than a guy with a ME ATP, 3000 hrs of AK time in 207's, 208's and beavers on floats? Come on, not even an interview?? I'm just suprised that with all the hiring going on at the regionals AMF is able to pass on a guy like that.

As well as I know the hiring manager, it likely wouldn't be because of those times. There has to be something else. Something neither you nor I know about.
