Another friend lost.

I am sorry for your loss and our loss of a pilot brother. This poem is fitting and was part of a friend of mines funeral service.
High Flight
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hovering there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air,
Up, up the long delirious burning blue.
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew;
And while with silent uplifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God!

hey I feel for your loss, I had an old friend killed in 172 just over a year ago on a recreational flight, and I lost another friend in a Seminole during a dual instruction flight this past October...I know what your going through, hang in there, it gets a LITTLE better. I'm not sure how you handle things but its helped me a great deal to keep talking about it, sharing old stories etc..sorry for your loss.
