I heard today that it is vision that owns 3 737s that they use to take people out to area-51. Anyone else heard that one yet?

I was also wanting to know if anyone knew for sure if they are still hiring, the website seems to be a temporary front page. (no links)

Vision does own 737s, (although I do believe that they are in the process of or have already replaced they with 767s). That said they are operated in part 91/125 operations and separately from the airline side of things.

These aircraft aren't the same ones as the 737s that Janet operates out of LAS to "Area 51", however they do operate under similar pretenses. Think long flights, to foreign destinations in hot/arid conditions, with a bunch of people who don't want you to know their names.

The aircraft are based in IAD (look on the south ramp just north of the new control tower, or on the cargo ramp just south of Landmark Aviation and you'll probably see at least one of them...)

Cool, I will have to look when I am down there next time.

Does anyone know if they are still hiring? If so, is there a link or a phone number?

Last I heard Vision was hiring for the 328 airline operation only. Forget about trying to get on with the 737 side... those guys are typically ex-govt/mil types and have oodles of hours from what I hear secondhand.

(Never actually talked with any of the flightcrews though).

I have a buddy who is with vision. They just had 2 classes go through...I think one was 228 the other 328. Might wany to drop a resume. I think they are looking for another class. The 121 cert is now in operation, 767's are allegedly on order, as well a a few more 328 jets, govt contracts are "supposed" to happen.

All could change overnight. My friends line as to the future of vision,"They treat us like mushrooms. We are kept in the dark and fed sh!t!"

Go with the Do-Jet! You're less likely to end up in a foreign prison.

Were you PIC or SIC?
Domicile is North Las Vegas Airport for 328 scheduled ops. The charter side in the 328 varies.
