How's a 402 to fly? I'm going to be doing a test flight on one tomorrow. I've flown C310's, 414, 421, 404's before, but the only one I really have boatloads(2000hrs) is the C310. Just a handful of hours between the rest. Didn't know if there's any quirks I'd really have to watch out for that isn't something common on any of the other 400 series.

It's a great plane. If you've flown a 414 the 402 should be perfectly familiar, with one exception being that it's not pressurized. Just watch the aft CG loading, but since you're saying it's a test flight you really won't run into that problem. Also, check your nose doors and wing lockers thoroughly before you get in; the door warning light doesn't cover them.

That's all probably pretty common on the other 400 series planes, so whatever. :)

Sounds about right on all that. Yeah run into a nacelle locker door with the C310 opening, luckily never the nose baggage!

where will the pilots in the Dec 1 class expect to be located? Is there a possibility to go to the Caribbean and stay down there?

I sent my app about a week ago and today just received an email from KP saying something to the effect of 'thank you for applying, we will review your app and keep it on file for one year'. Maybe I'm reading too much into that but is that the generic email everyone gets after applying or when they say keep on file for a year does that mean 'thanks but no thanks'? Just lookin for a heads up, thanks!

If it hasn't stopped yet, hiring is at least slowing down here. I wouldn't be surprised to see a hiring pool being formed in the near future.

I'd say sit tight and give it a few weeks, if you haven't heard back by then, then drop them a line to see what's up.

Cape Air, is officially properly staffed as of last week. Which means hiring will stop for now i guess

*Properly staffed until we can get some more airplanes on the line.

Word from the training department is that the January class is "back on." 6-8 people I'm told, but I don't know anything beyond that.
