could have seen that one coming from a mile away... Good luck to all those pilots out there |
Good opportunity to buy an eclipse cheap?
|
interesting coincidence - i read an article in USA Today a few days ago about an investigation into the FAA having certified the eclipse jet without meeting proper safety standards.
|
Sign of the times and very unfortunate. Best wishes to the DayJet folks.

Bad market research and a hell of a gamble. They never posted a profit since their inception. Good idea, bad economy.

What never made sense to me was the labor part of the model...tiny as those things are, they are REAL turbojets, and require real turbojet pilots. How did they expect to afford that with only 1-2 paying pax?
There are plenty of reasons to chose a regional over an air-taxi operation, so they would have to beat regional pay in the long term. Maybe the assumption was tips...large ones, in cash. |
