I have seen the advertised mins on their site but quite curious as to if they are hiring with less than 500 TT and 25 multi... Do you have any insight on this?

I was told "no". They did not want an app from me until I hit 500TT. Hope this helps.

Lifted from Cape's careers site under the pilot recruiting tab:

"What are the pilot schedules like?

We use a seniority bid system to determine pilot schedules within each base. Generally, our pilots begin and end their day in their base, so they are home every night. This may, however, require pilots to relocate to their base."

By generally, what is implied here? Thanks.

That means that the vast majority of pilots are home every night. Cape Air doesn't do 'trips' like most airlines. There are a handful of 'SVT' pilots, which stands for sick/vacation/temporary duty coverage. Those are generally junior captains who fill in wherever someone is on vacation, etc, and they stay in a hotel for a few days at a time. But 95% of the time you are doing day trips only. QOL is good if you live in base, however commuting at Cape Air is not recommended!

ME Time - I know it's possible. Did you get that info from the source that was hired?

Javichu 03-29-2016 09:46 PM

So I guess the question is, were those 25 ME a hard requirement? as those 500h.

If they hired that guy with 12h, will they start hiring with less than 500h?

I was told by a recruiter that 500 is hard and 25 is preferred.

He reported 675 TT.
