Just heard from the recruiter today. Apparently they had an "emergency" class of five that started yesterday. It was all guys who had their ATP's, in order to expedite the class I guess. He also confirmed that the tentative plan is to have another class in or around September. So at least everyone in the pool moved a little closer to the top of the list...

Interesting...

To be honest, I was wondering how they were going to staff the company without another class. A few guys just got recalled or found new jobs. Rocketman: Are you planning on staying at PDT, or will you make the move to 9K?

Oh, I'll be moving to 9K as soon as they call me!

Nice brother. I think you'll enjoy it here. I don't know how PDT is, but I'll more than likely resign from XJT when recall comes my way. It's a good gig.

Just read that Kirksville MO city council is supporting 9K for service to STL, perhaps that has something to do with the new class being pushed through? Not sure when the service would begin or the vote for that matter. Either way I'll be glad to have a few more numbers below me haha.

Hey, I don't think it's gonna work out, but if you had to choose between going to 9k and taking a right-seat part 91 jet job (privately owned Hawker), which do you feel would be most beneficial to the resume? Right now I have about 2000 hours, 1700 turbine (turboprop), and only 300 PIC... Right now my ultimate goal is to end up at a major, just not sure if one way is better than the other...

The Hawker jet gig is a no brainer... Its another type and weighs over 12500. Plus, I'm sure you'll get international experience as well. I've flown Part 91 in a King Air 350 and miss it dearly.
