Default Headed to Alaska

I am headed to Anchorage at the beginning of the year for my wife's job and I am just trying to gather as much info as possible about flying opportunities up there. I have about 4500 hours in everything from tailwheels to Citations but no bush or float time. Just wondering about the best way to find a job there and basically any advice from those who have been there. Do I even have a chance? I know everbody is hurting with this economy. Thanks

There are a couple of thread on here that give some great advise about getting a job in Alaska, check them out. You are coming up at a good time. Most outfits hire in early spring, so the new hires are on line prior to the busy season. Remember, just because you are trying to get a flying job in Alaska doesn't mean you have to be a bush pilot. Bush jobs are one of several options up here. Good luck and welcome.
