Default Cirrus Companies

I am looking for information about the companies running 135 in the Cirrus. Does anybody currently fly for Imagine Air, OpenAir, etc? Any former SatsAir people around?

Essentially I am interested in schedule, pay, QOL issues. Just the normal stuff. Thank in advance to any responses.

Default Cirrus Pilot

I fly Part 135 in a Cirrus SR22, as well as a Piper Navajo. The Cirrus is all on-demand operations. No set schedule. I can turn down any trip, but it doesn't fly a great deal, so I usually take everything that comes through. The plane is great when it's working. The egt and cht probes leave a little to be desired.

Unfortunately, we only have one Cirrus and one Cirrus pilot (me) with one other pilot in training right now, so I can't give you much information on QOL, schedules, etc.... Sorry. Pay is $250 to $300 per day for on-call on-demand. If you need other information, let me know.

I work for OpenAir on their CFI side because I don't have 135 mins and they pay pretty darn well. They have been doing pretty well since SATSAir closed as I understand. They bought a couple of their airplanes and hired a couple of their pilots for that area. As for pay I don't have the slightest clue for the 135 side. If it's anything like the CFI pay then it's pretty good and you don't have to do a whole ton of flying. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. Basically, I was hoping that this thread could be a place for people to go in order to compare the different operators. I think this is a very interesting part of the charter world and have found it very difficult to get company specific information, especially since none of these operators have profiles.

Hopefully someone will be able to offer up some more specifics as this thread runs it course.
