Did the same thing to Hawai'i... everyone complained about their service in Kalaupapa (sp?) (LUP) and he axed his "Pacific Wings Express" $39 model and jacked the fares up to like $298 one way, while Mokulele and Island Air were still only charging $69 to go to Molokai/Ho'olehua.

Wasn't the Kahului airport upset with him during the two other incidents? (latest being fuel spill in hangar)

Not that that's not your typical PW play, but this:

What a waste. 83 miles? Get in your car, drive, and quit complaining. Especially considering an interstate runs right through the middle of that town and directly to Memphis.

THey lost that EAS a while back when mokulele started flying there and other places that had EAS. U can not get the grant if a airline already goes there so the new EAS may not flush. OF course the GK spin was a different story. Pacific wings fired a ops guy who went to moku with vengence and the rest is history.....

Yes and the so called "president" locked himself in the trailer office when the state came with the Violation notice. The head of securitas for maui pushed the door open injuring(?) a office worker. Lucky the gun guard did not have a tazer! Hawaii is the only state that hires a private company to provide gun guard service to save money and they hire fired cops that are allowed to quit to save more money.. Sad...
