True, but if someone knows the pilots doing say, the CPS run. And they also know that they have NO intention of leaving, then they could at least tell someone that there is little chance of getting that said run.

Thanks johnso29, some people feel the need to be jerks when its not needed.

No problem.;) That being said, I think if you're not willing to move for the job, then I say it's probably not worth it. I thought about it if I got furloughed, but I found out the CPS run isn't goin anywhere for a long time so I said NO WAY.

There are four prop runs out of CPS.

I see...I'm being a jerk for repeating something thats been posted a ton of times. Not my intent to sound that way but t just seems as though no one understands the whole junior/senior base thing. Any base can open any day. But as we all know, no one is going anywhere at this time. If CPS were to open, someone whos been with the company for a while might want that spot and bid it ahead of someone who is new or just out of class. Just like any company, senority rules.

Wow, my old stomping grounds seem to be the hot place to be based.

CPS has a couple day runs as well does it not?

Also, what in the hell does it take to get them to look at your stuff? 1400tt, 750 multi and over 600 turbine. I want to get out of 121 for the reasons you guys sticking up for the gig mentioned. Oh, and how's CPS looking? :)

What I love about pilots, they are by far the most opinionated group you ever want to meet. You got to love it. Nevertheless, it simply depends on personal preference. I have flown both 121 and 135 (AirNet) and I had a fantastic time doing both, but for pilot growth and experience, single pilot IFR at night is the most demanding. Some people don't like demanding. The older I get, I don't like demanding either. :) Now at this stage, I wouldn't even give AirNet a second glance. Nothing against the AirNet pilots, I'm just a morning person.

Usually the way it works, once you build the time and experience, then you go on to Southwest, Jet Blue, Net Jets, etc, etc (that is what other pilots from AirNet did).

Like any company, what puts a dark shadow on AirNet is the management and dispatch. They are pretty f_cked up. What I don't like about the Regionals is the pay, it is awful. I myself finally switched over to fly for the Federal Government, something about job security and retirement is very appealing.

With the fuel prices and the economy as a huge factor, I wish everyone the very best in their airline careers.

Does Airnet have any caravans based in Dallas?
