They are near my hangar but never seem very busy. Hop A Jet is one of the busiest at FXE.

I did an interview there about a year and a half ago... Company seems really sketchy... The DO and Chief pilot beat around the bush when it comes to the job itself. Depending on hours you may be an office intern / fly when they need you.

Had a friend who was there for 6 months and left, did not like it at all. Just be careful.

They have never had a good rep, but you never hear any positives from people on anything anyway...take it for what it's worth.

I know the main gripe is about the hourly rate, they offer I think $200-250/flight day extra. Schedules and life will always suck at a S. Fl 135 ops.

The guys that have gotten in, did time, got out certainly moved up after getting the jet time.

Just make sure you are interviewing for what you want, they answered my response to a beechjet job by offering caravan PIC and Piaggio SIC...I held out for a better opportunity since I don't believe it when people "offer" something later. They have been hiring a lot though, so maybe upward movement is possible.

I think management has changed a couple of times, they always swear they are working to improve things but I keep seeing the same names on the directory...so go figure. Take it for what it's worth, it's 135, hard work and a tough life in S.Fl
