Actually, at my company, yes. But we are trying to go to work too.

Why ?
Be specific.

Because it's a union negotiated benefit.

Because ANYONE can become a FA in 4 weeks.

You know that KCM was mostly if not all the work of ALPA, right? So if you aren't represented by ALPA, you shouldn't be allowed KCM privileges? I think that's a little short-sighted, but maybe that's just me.

Great maybe I can come over to the FBO, swipe my airline badge, eat some free popcorn and shoot the bull with the CEO now?!?

I am now a 121 guy, but was a 135 guy a few months ago. We were the first 135 company approved for KCM. I don't see the big deal.. KCM was not approved because the TSA bowed to ALPA, rather ALPA made TSA realize it is a worthy program. Obviously unless all background checks are passed you will not be eligible for the program.
There is just no reason to be up in arms about 135 guys using KCM. I think some 121 guys are just on an ego power trip.

Have at it. Do you really think any one in an FBO cares what regulations you fly under?

Actually no power trip. Do you think it would be easier for a terrorist to get a job flying for a dirtbag 135 operator or flying a 121 airliner? So with KCM said pilot now has access to the sterile terminal with a weapon. Not a good idea and for the record I don't think airline FAs should have access either. In 4 weeks, anyone can become a cart donkey.

Awww, the poor 121 guys are getting all butt hurt over this. Grow up, children!
