Alpine Air hiring in Denver
Two runs posted, DRO and GCC. If it's the same schedule that KL was running, they'd be outstation based, fly Mon PM - Sat AM, home every day.
Why am I not surprised?

Yeah, that's really odd. In the case of Alpine, it's always awkward to take over business that was done by another carrier, and the pilot is caught up in the middle of it. They could avoid half the controversy by just letting Alpine do it out of their own established base.
But, then again, maybe that's what UPS wants, to put Key Lime on edge by putting their competitors on the same ramp.

So were these routes all taken over from Key Lime recently? I heard KLA has trouble staffing its planes lately, kind of makes sense given their way of doing things- but I did not think they were losing any routes yet.

Bump.
Applied for Denver. Any idea on schedule? I read 6am depart and 7pm arrivals. Their route map shows den to Billings and Sydney. Would it be that you fly to outstation early in the morning, wait all day and then fly back in the afternoon?

They are looking for Denver to Alamosa and Denver to Worland coverage. Den to Alamosa would be 4 days a week Tuesday - Friday. Worland would be 5 days and the ending shift would be in Worland if you want to move there. They said they will provide a car if you wanted to drive back to Denver, or wherever it is that you want to live. Also spoke of a hybrid combination of those two runs where you would switch off every week and fly with a 2 man crew.
They have some sort of crew apartment/hotel and car at outstation. Legal rest is at outstation.
Opening maintenence at front range airport in the future.
Postal holidays observed, 12 days pto (maybe after 1st year), and benefits.
Ground training in UT and BE99/1900 training either in Montana or possibly Denver.
My opinion, sounds like good flying, but a draining schedule.
