Hello all, I am currently a CFI, CFII, MEI with around 900TT and 500 dual given. Currently I am a check airman at a 141 school. Pay is great but I’m barely averaging 35 hours a month. I’ve been stuck around this time for about three months now and need something with good pay and much better flight time (i.e. less sims and oral stage checks). Does anyone know of anything 135 right seat, CFI, or whatever that I can average at least 80 hours a month. Thanks.

Ah the joys and negative perks of “moving up” in the CFI world... You are learning that “moving up” means more $$ but less hours... Remeber this 30 years from now. Why not stay with your same 141 gig and go back to primary instruction? If your goal is 1500 hours ASAP, that’s what I would consider doing if I were in your shoes. 135 SIC is hit or miss on rapid accrual of flight time.

QOL is great! I work 4 days on 4 days off 13 hour duty days and commute 3 hours and have a small crashpad in base. We are paid by the duty hour not by the flight hour. Anything over 40 hours in a week or anything outside of my scheduled 0600-1900 is paid overtime at time and a half.
