Default Just Hit ATP Mins

Finally hit ATP mins, 1500, and was wondering if anyone knew of places that are hiring. I know because of covid the industry was hit hard, and jobs are scarce and competition is fierce at the moment. Any and all help/suggestions greatly appreciated!

Not sure what your current occupation is but if I were a CFI I'd try and get my MEI and build as much multi-time as I could.

I second that.
It's probably gonna be tough to get a part 135 gig right now. I know being a CFI is not very glorious but I'm sure things will improve soon.
Once the airlines are hiring again, you want to be as competitive as possible. The 25 hour multi minimum might be a thing of the past for a while.

Not aware of anything myself, but just wanted to say hang in there it'll get better. Shoot me a PM, happy to give resume feedback if it might help.

I think Tradewind was hiring recently for their PC-12 ops. Not sure if they still are.

I second the MEI thing. Hiring requirements may get dirty here for the next few years. More multi time and having CFI certs, could possibly put you ahead of many people!

Congrats! What a world we live in. Unfortunately, 1500 hours now doesnít mean much. Especially without an ATP. You wonít get a call back unless you have it. Consider financing it. I paid for an ATP this fall, and continued to build flight time. I was offered a SIC job close to 2,000 hours.

Shoot me a PM, depending where you are and if youíre willing to relocate, possible 135 multi PIC job flying PA34s. Pads a resume better than just an MEI. But get your MEI regardless. This gloom will pass, but for a short while Iíd bet most airlines will be picking from the crop of already typed ATPís who are out of work (itís cheaper and more reliable). When those guys dry up things will get back to a normal. We could very well be back to how it was in the late 2000s/early Teens where it was normal for someone to have 3000+ hours when they went to a regional. Days of RATP/ATP Mins landing a job are probably few and far between for a while.

Iím in a similar situation. Hit 1500 a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, with a family, I have to look for opportunities that will allow me to commute or be based in CVG/DAY. Hiring will return, itís just a matter of when. Iíll be ready when the right opportunity comes along. Until then, Iíll keep instructing to build time. If your living situation is more flexible, there are a few opportunities in cargo, but keep building time.

I picked up my MEI, last summer, but havenít used it yet since my flight school doesnít have a twin and the school where I did my multi training doesnít have enough multi students to need another MEI. I donít know what the situation is elsewhere, but even if you canít make use of it, having it canít hurt.

Good luck in your search!
