1,000 hours, whats next
I am a commercial pilot with my CFI ratings and multi-engine. I currently have 1,000 hours with 120 of that being multi-engine. I live in near Charlotte, NC and looking for some good guidance. I am only 20 years old and currently working as a pipeline pilot and flight instructor both being single engine planes. I have heard of fellas getting hired with my kind of time and getting some pretty good gigs with it. I am lucky to have the job that I have now building around 70 hours a month, but I am trying to work my way up in to a co-pilot position for someone. It does not matter whether 91 or 135 and I'm not picky about the location either just as long as I can support myself on the money being made. I've had two interviews that I have turned down that was in a turbine aircraft, both from checking out the company and reading all negative things about the aircraft. Its not like I'm looking for the dream job by any means but I'm not looking to get in a low paying job with questionable aircraft. Any advice on anything would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Thank you

Keep plugging away until you've got 1200 and take a look at Central Air Southwest. I know you said you are looking for a co-pilot turbine job, but with your current times, etc. it might be a good time to rack up a bunch of PIC multi (recip) before filling the SIC column.

Yes thats a possibility for sure, I am really just looking to get into a turbine aircraft that has at least some what decent pay. If that is the airline route or the corporate I am gonna take it. My plans by the end are gonna be to end up in a corporate gig but for now anything that I can get in that will build that turbine time is the goal.
Anyone have any thoughts on what companies whether airlines, part 91 or 135?
Thanks

Air Wisconsin and PSA are/will be hiring and both have lots of flying in and out of CLT. Would probably be an easy commute. Don't know about the pay at PSA, but AW is pretty good compared to others.
