Hey,
You can look into being a SIC at CapeAir. They did not have a lot of SICs but its 400 series Cessna time and a great company to work with. You would have the opportunity to work with great people and also do a lot of fun flying. You would maybe get the opportunity to even do some flights that are not the scheduled passenger flights.

I wanted to go to the 121 world, but when I got out of college, my options with flight time were limited. Didn't really want to instruct, so I had to find something and ended up getting into airships. Got lucky with finding a job that allows me to payoff loans in a hurry and build 8-12 hours a day when I fly. I love what I do, but wonder how difficult it will be to get back into airplanes in the future. Someday I will get back to fixed wing regularly

You have to network at your local airports. There's gotta be something within driving range. When you go on XC, stop in, ask around, etc...
I never went 121, and I thought I would've, but a few good co tacts, and a little luck, I was sitting right seat on C421's and Be20's, mainly for experience, but I only logged the 91 legs. I was still full time as a CFI. Then I hit high enough time, that charter only seemed to hire their cfis, so I went home, and randomly got a job at a freight charter in my own backyard I didn't know about. Just keep your eyes open and really ask around.
