Default VLJ Rates

Does anyone have current CA/FO VLJ rates...both daily and annual salaries for both positions? Thanks in advance for your time.

A LONG time ago I was in the initial group of 12 mentors retained by Eclipse to fly/train in the Eclipse 500. This was back when Eclipse contracted with United to use their training facilities in Denver - well before the demise. The recommended rate at that time - as a contractor - was $500 a day plus expenses as PIC.

Nobody does it in my area for less than $600/Day (Eclipse)

I have a friend who is the personal pilot for a high-net-worth individual. He flies the owner's Eclipse single pilot. He's on salary in order to be available anytime. He makes approx $50,000 a year.

That sounds pretty low.

I have a college buddy flying a Bonanza with a pretty well known in advance schedule for 48...50ish to be always on call for a jet would seem sad.

I should clarify. His schedule is well known in advance. The owner wanted the option of short-notice, but has never utilized it.

That doesn't matter, he is still way under paid.
