Default Beechjet First Officers

Saw an ad for Beechjet FO's on willflyforfood.com. Ad says they will consider anyone with 500TT or more and they pay $44,000/year. Sounds like a great opportunity!

I think it is for Sky Limo. From what I have seen around the message boards, I would stay away from that place.

Read this, I was interested too until I read this and did some research on the DO. Very unsavory character it sounds like.

If it is SkyLimo...beware... in the past you had to pay for your own type rating including lodging etc..... pay is based on a base salary and hours flown.

This is an ad for SkyLimo... Do your research. I have not heard anything good about this operation and J Dent specifically.

From what I've heard, this is one of those places that is actually frowned upon for working at. Thats how bad their reputation is. Pilot BEWARE! I'd recommend calling the South FL FSDO and talking to someone about this place. That will give you an idea about what your getting into.

Where did you hear that?

I'd like it we can post an official list of all the companies that are looked down upon by those in the industry, then bounce it off a similar but one written by CFIs, career CFIs and the airport locals. There's always some outspoken guy who offers his opinion of every airline but hasn't left the 172 world.

I pray that you'll tell us, precisely who told you this, and why did they tell you this?

What?

This makes me wonder two questions:

1: When did FSDOs start offering this service where you can call them and get their opinion, on the record, of which employers are good and bad and why?

2: If they were aware of which operations were garbage, wouldn't they be taking enforcement or inspection actions instead of catalogging the information and offering to job seekers?

Actually, even in S. FL with all the low time pilots/CFIs here, many people try to avoid this place as much as possible. I worked here for a few months until I was able to find a lot better place. As stated is another reply, every charter/corporate department I have interviewed with since that knows of this company has questioned my reason for working there and why I didn't research it more before taking the job. Not a place to start a career. Just my two cents. Take or leave it
