I routinely flew with three Greyhounds in the back of a Cherokee 6. I wrote an article about a trip from Ft Worth TX to Jacksonville, FL for a breed specific magazine.

I also organized a group of pilots that transports injured racing Greyhounds from Houston to Dallas for medical care.

Cats, not so sure about. But there's nothing medically that would prohibit flying in a GA aircraft.
