COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE WITH INSTRUMENT AND MULTI-ENGINE RATING
TOTAL TIME REQUIRED 250 HOURS
Loan Indian Airlines Inc, a Delaware Corporation $40,000 for a two year period. 10% Interest payed annually.
Benefits
Pay Rate: $1,000 per month with $12 per hour in excess of 80 hours per month. Health Insurance.
Pilots will be given the opportunity to check out as Captain when they reach 1,200 hours in a Piper Chieftain.
Fly and build time for your ATP and get payed for it on a Scheduled Commuter Airline. San Diego based.
According to John Allen, Director of the FAA's Flight Standard Services, he said it soon would cost $160,000 to $180,00 for a new Pilot to reach the New Law of 1,500 hours for an ATP and employment on a FAA 121 Air Carrier. This quote taken from Aviation International News, August 2013 issue.

They have to pay the company $40,000 and then $1000 per month? Or are they paying $40,000 and then getting paid $1000 per month + $12/hr every hour after 80? That would net $16,000 they pay for 2 years worth of multi engine time?

It sounds like the western skies commercials you see where you get a "quick loan" @ 135% interest for 10 years.

You get that $40k back though, right?
Still seems ridiculous. At least here in the DC Metro area you can instruct full time and make the same amount annually. That and you don't have to give $40k up front which I guess potentially if this company flops you could lose it all.
