I flew for Mokulele in the mainland operation as an FO and a Captain. It was an awesome place to build hours. I was hired at 330 and 12 months later I'm at a regional. The schedule was 4 days on and 4 days off, averaging 7.3/day. The company wants to upgrade you to Captain at 1200 hours so you'll have 9 months at the FO pay.

Mokulele pilots were based at the out stations. Most of the SunAir crews were based in PIT. I don't know what the hiring situation there is anymore. Southern Airways merged or bought SunAir. If you're looking to get a time building job, try Southern.

The other idea was to go to Mokulele as PIC, but being from Pit, I want to be able to start the day there...
But really, it's too soon for me to know who to go with as most of the contracts are up this year and I fully expect Mokulele to go after all of the pit routes.
