Default Make Money on the Road

Hey guys,

I'm doing aerial survey flying for the remainder of the winter season and it seems as if there's a ton of downtime so far. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make some extra cash on the road? Has anyone ever tried anything? I've been sitting in one location for almost 3 weeks now and can't help but think my free time could be spent doing something useful. Anyone else wonder this?

Good idea regarding the car. Yeah, I've just been trying to find some 'work from home' jobs or just something to get some extra money. I finally got about 4 hours in today of flying, but with weather and other factors, sometimes you can spend a fair bit of time in the hotel room and I can't help but always think about what else I could be doing to benefit the wallet. Thanks for your input.

Get a degree or tech certificate in HVAC cad drafting. Break out your laptop and mouse and design HVAC and fire sprinkler CAD plans. $500-$1k or more for a plan.

Volunteer - United Way website can direct you to many different programs. This can open the door to other opportunities (meet new people, job opportunities, etc). Feels good to give back and is a resume booster.

When I did survey a guy I worked with had some setup where he would connect a headset to a computer and take calls similar to a call center rep. He said he people would call in and a script would pop up depending on what the person was calling for.

No idea what it paid.
