Default Envoy CFI program

Anyone have any insight or know of anyone who has been hired on at Envoy through the CFI program for low time pilots?

I have two friends in the pipeline program, one is set to be in a March class. I have some insight... What are you wanting to know?

Do they interview you once you get your CFI? Do they offer insurance and travel benefits for just you or your whole family? Do you recommend the program?

US Aviation Academy works with the Envoy Pipeline Program. I'm sure I could round up a contact or two if you would like.

I wish this CFI pipeline program was around when I was coming up working through my ratings. US Aviation Academy looks like they have a solid program.

Why on earth would anyone want to work for this God awful company? Take it from a current employee, working here is embarrassing on a daily basis. Explaining to irate passengers over and over why their flight was canceled and there is no one around to tell them anything, or explaining to a riotus group why we are sitting on a taxiway waiting for a gate for 3 hours on a sunny day when all the other airlines are coming and going as usual, and having a management team straight from Barnum and Baileys, complete with a CEO who doesn't understand English, will wear on you fast.

Also, I hope any prospective employees would be adept in accounting, because you have to have a degree in it if you want to ever be paid properly. Oh, and speaking of pay... There is none. With other companies offering huge bonuses, why the hell would you come here to make $24K/yr?

If your answer is flow through, you are wrong. Whatever nonsense these recruiters are feeding you about flow through to AA is a complete lie. Pilots hired here today will be here for 8 years at least. Not getting paid...

Friends don't let friends go to work for envoy. This company doesn't even deserve to be in business.

JT8D:

If you are so unhappy working there, why don't you leave? Look I get it, every work environment has its ups and downs. And ANYWHERE you go you'll have to deal with knuckle heads and crappy situations. I'm sure that even the mainline carriers have to deal with similar situations you described.

The reason why people go and work for 24k a year is because there are THOUSANDS of people lined up to do the job....looks to me that you were one of those? Listen..I'm not hating on you just hopefully having you see the upside. You're flying for a regional, gaining experience and hopefully looking to upgrade in the future. Having a positive attitude makes a HUGE difference in life...trust me. If you're still unhappy and want a change in scenery....my company is looking for pilots for an all-inclusive trip to the desert for one year. Only catches are REALLY LONG hours and oh yeah...getting shot at by really really bad people. ; )

All the Best!

I'm joining the pipeline program after getting my cfi's and relocating to the Denton area. I'm very excited to be moving to TX. I don't know much about Denton but it will be home really soon. But as far as the money...I try not to worry about money because I don't have any now and probably never will. But the pipeline is a good deal. Medical, Dental, travel privileges and more after hired. Better deal than I have now at my current job. I will be happy with my 18 dollars per hour. I think I will be able to find cheap beer in Texas somewhere.
