With 500 hrs, you have a good shot at a VFR job in Alaska. I've been going there for the last 5 Summers. Always between 350 & 450 hrs in 5 months. Not an easy job, but you'll never regret it. I may go back yet again.

Thanks for the info. That would be great to get back up there, albeit I was working in completely different field . Maybe I'll get a call then I'll pick your brain for the insider info ha.

Any of you guys live around Tulsa?

Probably not the best place to post this (think I'll make an official post after the sale goes through) but I've given up trying to find a job with less than 500TT. I've made an offer on a C-150 and we should be closing on that sale next Tuesday. $25/split time building with me if you guys are in. I'm at 285TT and will be flying all day every day until employment.

Hit me up if you're close by!

I just interviewed with Hageland up in Alaska. Apparently they're gearing up to hire quite a few pilots in the coming months. You should check them out.

Do they hire at 135 VFR minimums for 207 or Caravan SIC?

You need commercial and instrument for 208 sic. If you get your multi too you will get upgraded to 1900 sic when a spot opens up, ranges from 1 to 6 months usually. Then at 1000 hours you can get into the 207 as PIC.

Pay rates have changed too. 205 a day for all copilots which is amazing especially for those at only 250 TT. It goes to like 280 as a 207 driver and up even more for caravan pic and 1900 pic. If you have ATP minimums, or are a caravan, Navajo, or 1900 pic you get 15k cash bonus year paid out in increments every 4 months. You can make some serious money if you are willing to stick around Alaska and fly. Not a bad opportunity at all!

PM with any questions.
