Travel bennies take about a week to get squared away it seems. Schedules are 4 on 2 off with a 4 on 3 off.

Much appreciated!

Once travel kicks in, you will get the same AA benefits as mainline. One travel buddy, Parents, 16 buddy passes per year, 8 D1s per year.

Anyone else find it pretty disgusting to read about new hires complaining about a possible 8 month upgrade rather than 6 months (waahhhhhhh) on the FB page? For once, APC has less garbage on it.

On a similar note, I can't imagine they'll keep bypassing jet FOs for much longer. Any thoughts?

The company does sell it as a "upgrade as soon as you have 1000 121 hours". Yes when you look at history of the airline industry its crazy to cry over a 6-8 month upgrade time, but do we really know they won't continue bypassing jet FOs for the foreseeable future?

I'll chime in. I was awarded 145 CA this last bid I was I hired 10/24. I was a 6 month upgrade. I think bypassing 145 FOs will be coming to an end very shortly. My class was the last Dash class they had last year. I'd bet the next bid with 145 CA slots will be filled mostly by 145 FOs.

With the Dashes going away and those crews needing to be trained anyways, how do you figure that? Just wondering? I hope you are right...

Not everyone on the dash has the required hours to upgrade. That's evident by upgrade dropping to 6 months. A lot of the seniors dash guys are staying in the dash as long as they can. Most don't want the 145. I flew with a junior dash ca not long ago and he's more than happy to take the money and get displaced until the company forces him to the 145

Bing Bing bing.. I'm doing everything i can to stay daah trash. the money I'm making to fly a turbo prop right now is sick.. I'm hoping they throw in a bypassed fo in my place and keep me on for the summer .. thing is we need pilots desperately to cover all the flying.. both dash and jet... it took me 18 months from NH to captain qualified.. no prior 121 before..

sometimes I have to pinch myself as I can't believe the position I'm in.

I haven't gone through a furlough.. every month I get some bonus.. I have been treated pretty well and I love the people I work with. Life is good right now and whiskey going to I UAL IS the best thing that ever happened to this pilot group!

Yes. Travel bennies for spouse. Fly home if u want
4 on two off. Maybe three once a month.

Think hard about taking an early dash class if offered . 50-60 numbers is a year of flow right now.
