New union emails states Q&A on July 31 for possible furlough initiatives.... exactly 60 days before October 1st. Is it coming?

I just defer to Vasu's comment about how poorly AA long haul flying has been doing, even pre-COVID.

it says Possible Furlough Mitigation Initiatives so I would assume it’s likely not furloughs yet

Silence, union phone call tomorrow to “answer all questions” regarding furloughs, etc. The pilot group seems to be very happy since we haven’t heard anything, however seeing what has happened to XJT, I have a bad feeling about the future....

Xjet is kind of apples and oranges to PDT. The only thing in common is the plane we fly. The CEO of our mainline owner didnt say 6 months ago that 50 seat flying is going away, unlike UA.

Not saying we're out of the woods but the situation is different among different carriers.
